Fallen- Lauren Kate
There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--and goes out of his way to make that very clear--she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Before I bought this book I read the back blurb to the second in the series and I had to read the first. It took me a few days before I could get back out for book shopping and this was the first book I looked for when I got to the book store. I bought it and started reading it right when I got into the car.
And yet even though I liked this book it took me a while to finish reading it, for a few reasons really. I forgot it at Ashley's house for a few weeks, I started reading another book while I waited to get this one back from Ash, then I started school and I had lots of work to do, as I was busy transferring back to my old school after being at a school that focused on baking, it took me a while to get back into the swing of this school again, and I found I just didn't have time to begin reading this one again. Yet the entire time I didn't have it and was reading other books I would stop and think for a while about this book, the plot and characters. I would remember a scene from the book like it were a movie playing in my head... when I got the book back I finished it within the next few days and I was left wanting more and cannot wait to go buy the next in the series!
I rate this book from 1, I couldn't finish it to 10, unputdownable, a 10. I would recommend this book to anybody who is looking for a good read as this was exactly that and more.
